Seasonal fire restrictions enacted in five northern California counties
NORTHSTATE, Calif. — Starting on Wednesday, seasonal fire restrictions go into effect for all public lands managed by the Redding Field Office in Shasta, Tehama, Butte, Siskiyou and Trinity counties. This means no building, maintaining, attending, or using any open fire, camp fire, charcoal barbecue, or stove anywhere outside of designated fire-use campsites.

More than 100 animals saved by Tehama County law enforcement
RED BLUFF – The animals who survived alleged abuse in Gerber have been moved to safe locations thanks to the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office and other partnering agencies. On July 3, a TCSO deputy found two dogs locked in crates in the back of the car. TCSO said the car was off. They had no food or water and appeared to have been held in those crates for days. The outside temperature was 111°F.

Community leader dies at 90
RED BLUFF—Ralph W. Ehorn loved Tehama County, and he proved it his whole life through his actions, which supported the area and its residents. Ehorn, 90, died July 1, after living a full life personally and professionally. A memorial service will be held July 18 at 10:30 a.m. at Highpoint Church on Luther Road in Red Bluff.
