Power outages possible for parts of 10 Northern California counties
CALIFORNIA, USA — Fire weather conditions could leave thousands of PG&E customers without power during a scorching heat wave. "We're also seeing low humidity, high winds, dry fuel on the ground, Red Flag Warnings in certain parts, all those conditions come together in the Sacramento Valley area to lead PG&E to call for what we call Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS)," said Megan McFarland, spokesperson with PG&E.

About 12,000 PG&E customers were told on Sunday to anticipate possibly losing power on Tuesday as the utility monitors weather conditions that could force an intentional shutoff for safety reasons. PG&E also activated its emergency operations center in anticipation of a Red Flag warning issued by the National Weather Service for Monday night through Tuesday night for the Sacramento Valley and foothills. RED BLUFF, Calif. - A suspect is now facing new felony charges after the Tehama County Probation Department said they found a loaded .22 caliber pistol, various types of ammunition, magazines and drug paraphernalia. The probation department said they were conducting home visits on June 27 when this incident occurred.
