NEWPORT — From taking care of pediatric patients during the day to showing love to shelter animals during their free time, two local doctors are making a difference in our community. The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department. 24-009211 700 BLK South Lovell Avenue- Theft- The caller advised an unknown suspect took her trailer. She advised between 7/18/2024 at 1900 hours and 7/19/2024 around 0700 hours someone went on her property and took her trailer. The trailer was described as a 4×5 foot black trailer that is valued at $750. There is no further information on suspects currently.

State unemployment holds steady at historic low
NASHVILLE — Tennessee continues to experience record-low unemployment, according to data released by the Department of Labor and Workforce Development (TDLWD). Bassmaster Junior Championships on Chickamauga this week
DAYTON, Tenn. — For the second time, Chickamauga Lake welcomes some of the best youth anglers from across the country to compete in the Bassmaster High School National Championship, as well as the Bassmaster Junior National Championship. The Junior Championship will be held July 26-27 before the high schoolers take center stage Aug. 1-3. The City of Dayton will host both events, with daily takeoffs and weigh-ins held at Dayton Boat Dock.
