Maricopa County recorder urges Tempe, Litchfield Park voters to mail in ballots

March 5 is the last recommended day to make sure mail-in ballots get to election officials on time for local elections in Tempe and Litchfield Park, according to the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office.

Both communities are having their contests on March 12.

Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer also reminded voters about the difference between the local election and the March 19 presidential preference election.

Registered Democrats and Republicans in Tempe and Litchfield Park on the Active Early Voting List received two ballots by mail.

The ballot for the March 12 jurisdictional election has a red stripe on the green envelope.

The ballot for the March 19 PPE has a y ellow stripe on the green envelope.

“If you don't get your ballot for the March 12 jurisdictional in the mail today (March 5) look for a secure drop box location near you to ensure your ballot is returned before 7 p.m. on March 12,” according to a release from Richer’s office.
