Help make a difference in Tempe by volunteering on April 23 for Project Connect, a one-stop resource event for those who are unsheltered.

By taking part, you can have a hand in making essential services more accessible to help people end their homelessness, a release stated.

More than 100 unsheltered people are expected to attend to access housing support, healthcare screenings, job search and preparation, ID replacement and more, according to the release.

Some people may be connected directly to shelter from the event or assisted with being rapidly rehoused. Guests also have access to basic necessities such as showers, food and clothing.

Be part of the change and sign up for various volunteer shifts on April 23, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at University Presbyterian Church, 139 E. Alameda Drive.

The city of Tempe is proud to partner with event organizer Keys to Change, formerly The Human Services Campus, University Presbyterian Church and all of the providers bringing resources to one location to assist those in need, the release stated.

Volunteers can sign up to help at https://hsc-az.org/project-connect-tempe/ . For details, visit https://hsc-az.org/volunteer/#project-connect .
