Get ready for an evening of heart and soul on Friday, April 26, at 7 p.m. at the Tempe History Museum.

Tessa Karrys is an Arizona-based singer-songwriter and performer, known for her soulful voice and heartfelt original songs, a city release explained. Her early influences of blues and country western can be heard in her folk-pop writing and playing style.

Karrys has been performing for more than 10 years and released an EP in 2016, titled “Begin.” She performs both solo and with her band consisting of Matt Busch on bass guitar and Sean Busch on drums.

This free event will be held in the museum’s Community Room.

Save the date for the next Performances at the Museum events:

May 3 - Pijama Piyama & What If We're Robots

Two dynamic bands, one awesome evening! Pijama Piyama is notorious for starting the party and bringing people to the dance floor with a traditional familiarity as well as some psyched-out nonsense, the release stated.

What If We’re Robots is a sci-fi indie jazz band from Tempe featuring futuristic thematics and wild jazz odysseys. Presented outdoors in the Museum Plaza - bring a lawn chair or a blanket for this free outdoor concert.

    May 24 - Pick & Holler

Pick & Holler is a high-energy, fiddle-driven, old-time string band from Phoenix. They play traditional Appalachian fiddle and banjo tunes, love songs, murder ballads and throw in a few originals just to keep them honest, according to the release.

Pick & Holler features Carolyn Camp on fiddle, Matt Minjares on banjo, Lindsay Cates on upright bass and Mike Wolfe on guitar. Playing everywhere from square dances to fairs and festivals, to barns and boxcars, Pick & Holler strives to keep the toes tapping and the faces smiling, the release stated. This free event will be held in the museum’s Community Room.
