Two dynamic bands will perform at Tempe’s Performances at the Museum event scheduled for May 3.

Pijama Piyama is notorious for starting the party and bringing people to the dance floor with a traditional familiarity as well as some psyched-out nonsense, a city release detailed.

And joining the first act is What If We’re Robots, a sci-fi indie jazz band from Tempe featuring futuristic thematics and wild jazz odysseys. The group boasts robot vocals and sexy sax lines that will fill the empty space in your mind, the release stated.

This Performances at the Museum event is presented outdoors in the Museum Plaza. Attendees should bring a lawn chair or a blanket for this free outdoor concert.

The final Performances at the Museum event of the season is scheduled for May 24. Pick & Holler, a high-energy, fiddle-driven, old-time string band from Phoenix, will play traditional Appalachian fiddle and banjo tunes, love songs, murder ballads and even a few originals, according to the release.

This free event will be held in the museum’s Community Room.
