    Free pool events this June in Tempe

    Tempe has three upcoming pool events that are open to all ages and are free to the community.

    According to a city release, events to come are:

    Float-In Movie

    • Friday, June 14, 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Escalante Pool
    • Enjoy music, games with the Tempe Play Mobile and a float-in movie screening of "Lilo & Stitch.” The capacity for the event is 300 people. First come, first served.

    Verano Sano sponsored by SRP

    • Saturday, June 22, noon-2 p.m. at Clark Park Pool
    • SRP sponsors this series of free, fun family events held at community pools across the Valley. At the Clark Park Pool event, you can win water safety resources and prizes like life jackets, swim lesson vouchers and other prizes. Plus, enjoy free open swim.

    McClintock Poolapalooza

    • July 13, 6-9 p.m. at McClintock Pool
    • Play games, swim, enjoy music and frozen treats and win prizes.

    All events are free and open to the public, offering a safe and enjoyable environment. There is limited capacity for each event, admission is on a first-come, first-served basis.

    Aside from the coming events, Tempe's pools and splash pads are a great way to stay cool and active. Ride a wave at Kiwanis Wave Pool, take a dive in the McClintock Pool, ride the water slide at Clark Park Pool or make a splash at the Escalante Pool, the release stated.

    Pool hours and admission fees vary by location. Tempe's free splash pads are open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., April through October.
