Commemorating the 75th anniversary of NATO, Arizona State University’s McCain Institute is hosting a public discussion on the importance of the NATO alliance and how it will continue to shape transatlantic partnerships

The conversation, Frontlines of Freedom: NATO, Arizona, and the Fight for Democracy, will explore the United States and NATO’s shared strategic interests in Europe and around the world and ways to strengthen the alliance moving forward, a press release explained.

While the alliance grows stronger with the additions of Finland and Sweden, public awareness of NATO has waned among Americans, the release stated.

The event takes place June 24, at 8:30 a.m. at ASU’s Tempe campus in the Fulton Center’s Lincoln Conference Room, 300 E. University Drive.

Former U.S. Ambassador to NATO Kay Bailey Hutchinson, McCain Institute Board Member Jack McCain and others will be speaking on a panel moderated by Chief Program Officer at the McCain Institute Kristin Abrams.

The discussion will also be live-streamed at https://asu.zoom.us/j/84330004514.
