Charles County's Sapp seeks Paralympic gold
Charles County resident Lawrence Sapp has rapidly become accustomed to competing at the highest levels of various swim meets and this weekend he will continue his pursuit of a gold medal in the 2024 Paralympics in Paris, France. Roger A. Mitchell, Jr., M.D., Named President of Howard University Hospital
Gaithersburg, Maryland – Adventist HealthCare and Howard University have announced that Roger A. Mitchell, Jr., M.D., will serve as the next President of Howard University Hospital, as part of the Management Service Agreement between the two organizations as they continue discussions for long-term partnership. Mitchell will begin his leadership of the hospital after Howard University Hospital President Anita Jenkins steps away from that position on Sept. 13.

J. Crew Factory store may be coming to Tysons strip mall
A discount clothing retailer appears to be coming soon to Tysons, right down the street from both Tysons Corner Center and Tysons Galleria. Pike 7 Plaza will be home to a J. Crew Factory store, according to permit applications submitted to Fairfax County. It will be located at 8387 Leesburg Pike, between the strip mall’s Lidl and DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse stores.
