Tulsa Area United Way Accepting Applications For Social Innovation Grant
The Tulsa Area United Way is now accepting applications for a grants program to help support Oklahoma startups and existing organizations in need. In August 2023, Border Patrol agents caught sight of a lone Hispanic male shuffling along the shoulder of FM 170, near the city of Presidio, Texas. Assuming he was a Mexican national from across the border, they approached with a request for identification, which was provided. Upon inspection, it was determined that the man was a U.S. citizen who had illegally re-entered the States by crossing the river, rather than the port-of-entry.

FDA approves first ever medicated feed for wild quail created by Texas Tech professor
A Texas Tech professor's nine-year effort research effort to develop an anthelmintic drug for parasite control in wild quail populations has gotten the final nod of approval from the FDA. According to a release from the FDA, the drug will be integrated with feed and is effective in controlling parasites in wild quail in their natural habitat. For example, eyeworm parasite infection levels in the Rolling Plains region of West Texas and cecal worms throughout Texas. ...
