Mid-State Fair daily schedule for Thursday, July 25
TLC & Shaggy are performing Thursday, July 25 with DJ Flashback opening the show at 7:30 pm. The concert takes place in the Chumash Grandstand Arena. TLC’s influence spans pop, hip-hop, R&B, fashion, and female empowerment, defining generations. Formed in Atlanta in 1990, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins aimed high. They began working with producer Jermaine Dupri, and manager Perry “Pebbles” Reid suggested adding Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, forming TLC. In 1992, they released their debut album, Ooooooohhh…, selling 4 million copies in the U.S. and producing three top-ten singles.
New superintendent of Paso Robles schools lays out future plans

California’s San Luis Obispo Bay Being Evaluated for Wind O&M Port
California’s Port San Luis, a smaller central coast port used by commercial fishermen as well as recreational and tourist boating, is launching an exploration to become the first operations and maintenance (O&M) port for the planned California offshore wind industry. The Harbor District’s Board approved a port evaluation project working with Clean Energy Terminals, a company that was involved in O&M port planning including for the New Jersey Wind Port.
New Italian restaurant opens near downtown city park
– Parchetto (Park-ett-o), Italian for “Little Park,” is Paso Robles’ newest downtown restaurant by the culinary team Carole and Santos MacDonal. After 15 years of owning and operating Il Cortile, the duo was inspired to bring another restaurant concept to the heart of Paso Robles. Now open, Parchetto is located at 1234 Park Street, less than one block from the Downtown City Park in what was formerly Hemingway’s Steakhouse.
