Lost Lantern announced that the brand was stepping into summer with a collection of nine whiskeys from twelve states as part of its Summer of Bourbon series. The collection launched in 2023 and was meant to be focused on one style of whiskey to spread the brand's message that "great bourbon now comes from all over the United States."
"Summer of Bourbon II shines a light on the true variety and depth that great bourbon can have," said Lost Lantern Co-Founder Adam Polonski in a statement. "This Collection contains several firsts for us: our first Tennessee whiskey, our first finished bourbon, our first bourbon from a closed distillery and our first bourbons from several new partners and states. We are delighted to once again celebrate summer with America's iconic spirit."
The brand shared the collection was Lost Lantern's largest for the year, and because of that, it will be grouped into two releases. Lost Lantern's Far Flung Bourbon II and Mississippi Memory will be available for purchase on Thursday June 20, and on Thursday July 11 lost Lantern Summer of Bourbon II Single Casks will be available for purchase.
"This year, we want to encourage whiskey lovers to keep exploring the increasingly wide world of bourbon, in all the forms that it takes from coast to coast."
In February, Lost Lantern released its first regionally-focused collection, shedding light on one of the sleeper whiskey regions in the United States — the Midwest. The collection featured offerings from Indiana, Iowa, Ohio and Illinois. The latest collection from the brand's summer release features whiskeys from Mississippi, Washington, Kansas, South Carolina, Tennessee, Colorado and California. Lost Lantern's collection includes a blended bourbon from states on the East Coast all the way to the Deep South.

A Closer Look at Lost Lantern Summer of Bourbon II

    Far-Flung Bourbon II

Far-Flung Bourbon clocks in at 126.6 proof and hosts a suggested retail price of $100. 697 bottles are available and the whiskey is composed of a blend from Starlight Distillery in Indiana, Kings County Distillery in New York, Rich Grain Distilling Co. in Mississippi, Smooth Ambler in West Virginia and Wollersheim Distillery in Wisconsin.

Mississippi Memory Rich Grain Distilling Straight Bourbon

This is Lost Lantern's first "ghost distillery" release and it clocks in at 140 proof. Rich Grain was a Mississippi distillery meant to showcase the state's climate and it closed in 2020. Lost Lantern shared that the whiskey continued to age in the humid climate, and it is a marriage of Rich Grain's 5- and 7-year-old bourbons. It hosts a suggested retail price of $90 and just 500 bottles exist.

Corbin Cash California Straight Bourbon Single Cask

This producer is based out of California's Central Valley and is a grain-to-glass distillery known for its rye whiskeys. At Bottle Raiders, we are particularly partial to the brand's 1917 rye, and you can read our review here

Union Horse Kansas Straight Bourbon Single Cask

High Wire South Carolina Straight Bourbon Single Cask

Boulder Spirits Armagnac Finished Colorado Straight Bourbon Single Cask
