Megan Moroney is finally getting the recognition and popularity she deserves in the country music world. The talented singer/songwriter from Georgia has delivered a few hits thus far, including “Tennessee Orange” and a number of tracks from her debut album Lucky. If those hits haven’t appealed to you, you might be missing out on some of her more underrated songs. Let’s dive into four songs for people who say they don’t like Megan Moroney! We’re determined to change your mind, even if her new album Am I Okay? doesn’t.

    1. “Indifferent”

If you don’t like Megan Moroney but have only heard her biggest hits, you might just love “Indifferent”. It’s one of the best examples of Moroney’s bolder songwriting efforts, though the song has a number of additional songwriter credits. This killer anthem from Am I Okay? is a delight from beginning to end.

    2. “Man On The Moon”

Moroney is sick of men and would like to send more of them to the moon. If you feel the same, you’ll likely love this tongue-in-cheek country-pop track called “Man On The Moon”. Moroney is quite hilarious on all of her albums, and this song is a great example of her sense of humor.

    3. “Sad Songs For Sad People”

“Sad Songs For Sad People” sounds like it would be a pretty huge bummer from the title alone. However, this song is actually quite sweet and a little bit addicting. It’s a lovely little country-pop track about loving that one person who treated you differently than all of your exes. Lucky is packed with not-so-sweet tracks, but “Sad Songs For Sad People” emerges as one of the only positive love songs. And it’s a refreshing song, at that.

    4. “Mustang Or Me”

Moroney has said that she still drives the same car she bought in high school. That car would be a 2010 Mustang, and it took her all the way from Georgia to Nashville, where she became the star she is today. It seems like Moroney keeps the car around out of sentiment, and it likely inspired the song “Mustang Or Me”.

This track from Lucky is about Moroney leaving Tennessee after a rough breakup and wondering if she’ll break down before her old Mustang does.
