Novak Djokovic reached his 59th Grand Slam quarter-final after defeating Francisco Cerundolo at the 2024 French Open.

The great Serbian has broken Roger Federer’s record to become the man with the most appearances in the last eight of a Major.

Djokovic’s fourth round victory at Roland Garros also saw him overtake Federer to stand alone as the player with the most Grand Slam match wins.

    4. Jimmy Connors – 41

The legendary American reached 17 US Open quarter-finals, while he made this stage 14 times at Wimbledon and on eight occasions at Roland Garros.

Connors also made the last eight in his only two Australian Open appearances, where he won the title in 1974 and was a runner-up in 1975.

    3. Rafael Nadal – 47
