TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — We have a busy weekend in store with plenty of events happening across the Wabash Valley.
We have compiled some local events that may interest you and your family this weekend.

Weekend Events: All Weekend
Fireworks over the Lake Freedom Festival will take place Friday, July 5 through Sunday, July 7 at Sullivan County Park and Lake. The festival features food and market vendors, bounce houses, live music, a golf cart parade, and much more for the whole family. The fireworks show starts at dusk on Saturday.

Weekend Events: Friday, July 5
First Friday is happening Friday, June 5 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the 12-point neighborhood. July’s theme is backyard BBQ. It’s happening at Maple and Lafayette Avenue in Terre Haute. The event is kid and pet-friendly and free to the community. Organizers say it’s a chance to shop from the local 12 Points businesses, artists, stores, restaurants, food vendors, and more.
The Vigo County Fair kicks off Saturday at the Wabash Valley Fairgrounds. A truck and tractor pull is planned for 7 p.m. Saturday in the grandstands—the fair offers live music, food, and fun for the entire family through July 13th.
Project Never Broken is inviting the community to celebrate the life and legacy of Officer Greg Ferency who was killed in the line of duty. The event is happening Sunday from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Afterburner Brewery in Terre Haute. Sunday is the 3rd anniversary of Greg’s EOW. The event also pays tribute to all who have made the ultimate sacrifice in keeping the community safe. Custom brews, a food truck, and Project Never Broken merchandise will be available. Everyone is welcome, including kids.
