    Firefighters respond to house fire on Mariposa Drive

    TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Firefighters are on scene of a residential structure fire in Terre Haute.

    Firefighters were dispatched just before 8 a.m. to the 2600 block of Mariposa Drive after a passerby called in a report of a house fire.

    Terre Haute Fire Department Battalion Chief James Holbert reported that the fire is contained to the one building, and that no one was home at the time.

    According to Holbert, the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

    No one was injured in the incident. Holbert said the fire caused significant damage to the home.
