    Disaster Loan Outreach Centers coming to Vigo and Monroe counties

    FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– The Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS) and The Small Business Administration (SBA) are opening Disaster Loan Outreach Centers (DLOC) to help with the damage from the June 25 storms.

    Starting July 22 at noon businesses and residents can come to one of the DLOC to see if you qualify for a low interest disaster loan. These loans will be coming through the SBA. These two locations will not only be serving those in Vigo and Monroe county but will also be serving those from nearby counties as well. The other Indiana counties covered are: Brown, Clay, Greene, Jackson, Lawrence, Morgan, Owen, Parke, Sullivan, Vermillion. As well as Edgar and Clark county in Illinois.

    SBA Customer Service representatives will be at the DLOC locations to help members of the public with questions about the loan program and help with applications. IDHS staff will also be at the sites to help answer questions about the Indiana State Disaster Relief Fund. The fund can be used to cover losses when SBA loans are not eligible.

    Residents and businesses have until September 16 to return applications for any physical property damage. Economic Injury Loans however will have until April 17, 2025 to apply.

    The Vigo County Location will be open from July 22 to August 5 at the Ivy Tech Campus located at 8000 Education Drive, Terre Haute. This location will be open Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

    The Monroe County Location will be open July 22 to August 5 as well at the Frank Southern Ice Arena located at 2100 South Henderson Street, Bloomington. The hours will be Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
