TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Terre Haute South grad Ty Stultz threw a complete game no-hitter in Terre Haute Wayne Newton Post 346’s 2-0 win over West Terre Haute Post 501 in the American Legion Baseball Region 3 championship game.

“To be able, to throw a no-hitter is just like one in a million but I had the team behind me if I needed them,” Stultz said after the game, “I got the best 9 in the state right now so being able to come out and just pitch and do as well as I did it just feels surreal.”

Stultz struck out 12 batters in the no-hitter and provided the first RBI of the game with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 5th inning. Northview’s Jackson Pierce hit an RBI single in the 6th to make it a 2-0 game.

Post 346 will now look to win their first state championship since 2019 this coming weekend. Post 346 is hosting the state finals with the first games taking place on Friday July 26th at Terre Haute North High School.
