FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Officials with Union Health say a “wide-spread network outage” has caused some phone lines not to work.

According to Union Health Spokesperson Mandi Scott, the problem is causing intermittent outages on a number of phone lines in the organization.

The lines specifically affected are Union Hospital Clinton, and to Union Medical Group clinics. Scott noted the phone lines to Union Hospital in Terre Haute were working.

Scott advises anyone with a medical emergency to call 911.

“Phone carriers have been engaged to correct the problem and we will update this post as soon as the phone lines are working again,” Scott said.

Union Health was not the only organization affected, WTWO’s phone lines were down as of 11 a.m. as well. Internet provider Joink said there is currently an outage in the area causing the problems.
