Wabash Valley Geekz and Things kicks off

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Wabash Valley Geekz and Things started off at the West Vigo Community Center Saturday.

The gym was filled with vendors with treasures from the past. Everything is welcome, from vintage toys to retro art.

The event started because locals felt that vendor fairs didn’t have enough vintage items.

The leader on this project believes that this will not only draw attention for the vendors, but to the Community Center as well.

“We are at the community center and not a lot of people know what goes on at the West Vigo Community Center. It kind of gets them some leeway, some foot traffic inside and it gets people to not only learn about what is going on here, then people ask, hey so what does this building actually get used for.”

The next event will be at the Community Center on October 19th.
