Disabled Woman Saved by Vicksburg Fire Department
VICKSBURG, Miss. – Just after 10:30 p.m., units with the Vicksburg Fire Department responded to a fire call at 821 Speed Street at the Marshall Apartments. According to Chief Derrick Stamps, “Upon arrival, the crew could see smoke and was made aware that a disabled person was inside the structure. The firefighters made forcible entry into the structure. Once inside, they found a disabled person who needed to be treated for smoke inhalation. The patient was transported to Merit Health ER. It was determined that a pot had been left on the stove.”
