Enrollment Holding Steady for Chatham Schools; Tomaino Resigns as Chatham High Security Coordinator After 11 Years
CHATHAM, NJ -- Chatham's enrollment is holding steady at 3,525 students heading into the upcoming 2024-2025 school year as reported by Mary Donohue, assistant superintendent, at the July 15 regular meeting of the Chatham Board of Education. Donohue also reported in the video below that there are currently 219 students registered for kindergarten when the district opens school on Aug 26. MAPLEWOOD, NJ - The Maplewood Township Committee voted at its July 16th meeting to make some changes to an ordinance dealing with setbacks, the minimum distance between a building and a property line, in zones R-1-5 and R-1-7 in the village. Infant dies after being pulled from hot car in North Jersey, police say
A 6-month-old girl died after she was left alone in a parked vehicle in East Hanover, prosecutors said, as heat and high temperatures soared Wednesday afternoon. East Hanover police responded to a 911 call around 1:30 p.m. to a parking lot in the area of South Ridgedale Avenue at Route 10 and found the infant in a parked vehicle, according to a statement from the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.
