Texas County woman dies in crash near Willow Springs
A Texas County woman dies when the vehicle she’s riding in runs off the road about 25 miles south of her hometown. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Wanda Franklin, 63, of Houston, was riding in a vehicle with her husband, Leslie, on Wednesday morning when the pair ran off the side of Highway 60 just west of Willow Springs. The patrol says the Franklin’s vehicle then struck an embankment and a tree before coming to a final rest.
Near-simultaneous crashes in different counties claim lives of two women
Two Wednesday morning traffic crashes that happened at almost the exact time resulted in two area women losing their lives, reports the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Linda K. Walker, 55, Ava, suffered fatal injuries in a rollover crash at 7:28 a.m. Wednesday on N Highway, 7 miles east of Squires in Douglas County.
