Photo/Kylie Bailey The Texas Education Agency has released the 2024 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness results for both End-of-Course assessments and grades three through eight. The EOC results, which include district and campus level performance, were released Friday, June 7 and grades three through eight were released Friday, June 14. Parents and guardians can access their individual students’ progress along with assessment answers at texasassessment. gov. EOC results are from assessments in Algebra I, Biology, English I, English II, and U.S. History. STAAR exam scores are grouped into four performance levels: from highest to lowest, Masters Grade Level, Meets Grade Level, Approaches Grade Level and Did Not Meet Grade Level. Bryson ISD Algebra I A total of 19 students took the Algebra I EOC assessment. Three students (16%) scored at Masters Grade Level, three students (16%) were in Meets Grade Level, 12 students (63%) scored at Approaches Grade Level, while one student (8%) scored at Did Not Meet Grade Level. BISD earned an average score of 3901, lower than the state average of 4009. Biology A total of nine students took the Biology EOC assessment. Two students (22%) scored at Masters Grade Level, four students (44%) were in Meets Grade Level, three students (33%) scored at Approaches Grade Level, with no students scoring at Did Not Meet Grade Level. BISD had an average score of 4221, higher than the state average score of 4122. English I A total of 20 students took the English I EOC assessment. Four students (20%) scored at Masters Grade Level, 10 students (50%) were in Meets Grade Level, one student (5%) scored at Approaches Grade Level, while _ve students (25%) scored at Did Not Meet Grade Level. With a district average score of 4203, BISD scored higher than the state average of 4068. English II A total of 10 students took the English II EOC assessment. One student (10%) scored at Masters Grade Level, five students (50%) were in Meets Grade Level, one student (10%) scored at Approaches Grade Level, while three students (30%) scored at Did Not Meet Grade Level. BISD earned an average score of 4232, higher than the state average of 4093. U.S. History A total of 24 students took the U.S. History EOC assessment. Thirteen students (54%) scored at Masters Grade Level, six students (25%) were in Meets Grade Level, five students (21%) scored at Approaches Grade Level, with no students scoring at Did Not Meet Grade Level. BISD earned an average score of 4386, higher than the state average of 4266. Jacksboro ISD Algebra I At Jacksboro Middle School, 20 students took the Algebra I EOC assessment. Fifteen students (75%) scored at Masters Grade Level, four students (20%) were in Meets Grade Level, one student (5%) scored at Approaches Grade Level, with no students scoring at Did Not Meet Grade Level. JMS had an average score of 4422, higher than the state average of 4009. A total of 73 students at Jacksboro High School took the Algebra I EOC assessment. Ten students (14%) scored at Masters Grade Level, 22 students (30%) were in Meets Grade Level, 35 students (48%) scored at Approaches Grade Level, while six students (8%) scored at Did Not Meet Grade Level. JHS had an average score of 3991, lower than the state average. The district’s average Algebra I score was 4084. Biology A total of 81 students took the Biology EOC assessment. Twelve students (15%) scored at Masters Grade Level, 34 students (42%) were in Meets Grade Level, 29 students (36%) scored at Approaches Grade Level, while six students (7%) scored at Did Not Meet Grade Level. JISD earned an average score of 4102, lower than the state average of 4122. English I A total of 95 students took the English I EOC assessment. Eleven students (12%) scored at Masters Grade Level, 38 students (40%) were in Meets Grade Level, 19 students (20%) scored at Approaches Grade Level, while 27 students (28%) scored at Did Not Meet Grade Level. JISD earned an average score of 4058, lower than the state average of 4068. English II A total of 75 students took the English II EOC assessment. Five students (7%) scored at Masters Grade Level, 49 students (65%) were in Meets Grade Level, 12 students (16%) scored at Approaches Grade Level, while nine students (12%) scored at Did Not Meet Grade Level. JISD earned an average score of 4209, higher than the state average of 4093. U.S. History A total of 99 students took the U.S. History EOC assessment. Fifty-five students (56%) scored at Masters Grade Level, 25 students (25%) were in Meets Grade Level, 17 students (17%) scored at Approaches Grade Level, while two students (2%) scored at Did Not Meet Grade Level. JISD earned an average score of 4450, higher than the state average of 4266. Perrin-Whitt CISD Algebra I A total of 23 students took the Algebra I EOC assessment. Seven students (30%) scored at Masters Grade Level, 10 students (43%) were in Meets Grade Level, two students (9%) scored at Approaches Grade Level, while four students (17%) scored at Did Not Meet Grade Level. PWCISD earned an average score of 4061, higher than the state average of 4009. Biology A total of 29 students took the Biology EOC assessment. One student (3%) scored at Masters Grade Level, 13 students (45%) were in Meets Grade Level, 14 students (48%) scored at Approaches Grade Level, while one student (3%) scored at Did Not Meet Grade Level. PWCISD had an average score of 3991, lower than the state average score of 4122. English I A total of 26 students took the English I EOC assessment. Five students (19%) scored at Masters Grade Level, 15 students (58%) were in Meets Grade Level, one student (4%) scored at Approaches Grade Level, while five students (19%) scored at Did Not Meet Grade Level. PWCISD earned an average score of 4171, higher than the state average of 4068. English II A total of 35 students took the English II EOC assessment. Four students (11%) scored at Masters Grade Level, 23 students (66%) were in Meets Grade Level, five students (14%) scored at Approaches Grade Level, while three students (9%) scored at Did Not Meet Grade Level. PWCISD earned an average score of 4204, higher than the state average of 4093. U.S. History A total of 24 students took the U.S. History EOC assessment. Fifteen students (63%) scored at Masters Grade Level, four students (17%) were in Meets Grade Level, five students (21%) scored at Approaches Grade Level, with no students scoring at Did Not Meet Grade Level. PWCISD earned an average score of 4456, higher than the state average of 4266.
