North Texas will experience one more day of Heat Advisories with temperatures on Thursday forecast to approach 100 degrees and heat index values near 105.

Showers and storms could move into the area, especially along the Red River Valley, after 9 p.m. This cluster of storms will weaken as they approach North Texas overnight. Morning lows will dip into the mid-70s.

The storms that form in Oklahoma Thursday evening will follow a cold front that will stall across North Texas on Friday. It will be close enough to North Texas to produce more scattered showers and storms. A couple could be strong with gusty winds. Afternoon highs will be in the upper 80s.

The front will be draped somewhere across North and Central Texas on Saturday, producing more scattered showers and storms. Not everyone will see rain, but it remains in the forecast. Temperatures will have a hard time getting above 90 degrees.

Sunday will be mainly dry with just a few isolated showers and storms. Temperatures warm back up into the low to mid-90s.

Another cold front will sag into the area on Monday, producing more scattered showers and storms. This will keep temperatures cooler with highs only in the low to mid 80s.

The trickiest forecast over the next seven days will be Tuesday and Wednesday. It's dependent on the track of Hurricane Beryl. If it continues to move northwest at 20 mph, it may start to curve northeast and hug the Texas coast, keeping most of the rain south of Dallas-Fort Worth. If it slows down as it approaches northeastern parts of Mexico and South Texas, it would spread its moisture up into North Texas, giving us a bunch of rain Tuesday and especially Wednesday.
