Reser’s Fine Foods recalled their Hill Country Fare Mustard Potato Salad, distributed across Texas, on July 2nd due to the possible presence of plastic pieces. According to the United States Food & Drug Administration , the product, sold in H-E-B stores across The Lone Star state, could contain "foreign materials."

Fare Mustard Potato Salads mentioned in the recall include those with a weight of 48 ounces, and a Use By Date of July 26, 2024.

As of Tuesday (July 9) all products that possibly contain foreign plastic material were removed from store shelves across the state in an effort to protect consumers. No injuries or illnesses have been reported as a result of consuming the potato salad.

Customers who already purchased the potato salad and have yet to consume it can return it to the H-E-B store where they purchased it for a full refund. Officials have urged customers not to consume the product, rather discard it if you are unable to return it to a nearby store. Consumers with questions are invited to call Reser’s Fine Foods at 888-223-2127 from Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. PT.
