Texas Assistant Football Coach Jeff Banks Ties The Knot With Ex-Stripper Girlfriend, “Pole Assassin”

This wedding has been coming for a long time. Back in 2021, Texas assistant football coach and special teams coordinator Jeff Banks was getting quite the press for a lawsuit involving a child being bit by a monkey. Banks and his then-girlfriend, Danielle Thomas, were involved in a high-profile lawsuit after Thomas' monkey bit a child in their backyard during a Halloween event. According to the then lawsuit, a child was trick-or-treating in a neighborhood where Banks and Thomas were hosting a haunted house for neighbors and other children to go through. At the end of the haunted house, the children were taken to see Thomas' monkey, who was "trained to give high-fives." ESPN reported that: "Instead of giving a high five, Danielle Thomas's monkey aggressively bit down on C.C.'s (the child) hand and refused to let go. C.C. was forced to manually pry the monkey's jaw open. There was so much blood that C.C. was unable to see the full extent of the injury." While the child ended up being okay, the case got much attention because Thomas was identified in the lawsuit by her ex-stripper, Pole Assassin. Later, it was revealed that she had once appeared on The Jerry Springer Show with the monkey. (Is it horrible to say all of this kind of adds up?) Three years after the tumultuous lawsuit, the couple officially tied the knot over the weekend. In a recent Instagram post, Banks shared how special the wedding was to him and his now-bride. A video clip of their wedding shows the date they tied the note above the altar, and they even put Thomas on a stool so she could kiss her groom. With the lawsuit referring to her as Pole Assassin and her Instagram handle (which no longer exists), I hope the new Mrs. Banks is not ashamed of her past.
