FARGO, N.D. — Two Sallisaw Black Diamonds wrestlers are still in line for national titles at the 2024 USA National Juniors/Cadet Wrestling Tournament. Cason Craft, who won the Class 4A 106-pound state title in February, opened with a 10-0 win over South Dakota’s Bailey Gillen 10-0 in his 106-pound Junior Division openinground match. He was slated to face Virginia’s Jonathan French in Round of 32.
Almost entire Thunder squad show out to support OKC in summer league loss to Heat
During the Oklahoma City Thunder’s summer league contest against the Miami Heat, players from the main roster started to trickle into the seats. Nearly the entire squad attended the Thunder’s loss to the Heat in Las Vegas. This comes a game after several key members supported OKC in its loss to the Toronto Raptors.
Barnsdall Public Works Authority Gets Helpful Grant
The Oklahoma Water Resources Board has given the Barnsdall Public Works Authority two million dollars in funding to improve the Waxhoma Dam. The Authority owns and operates that dam, which maintains Lake Waxhoma. Potable water is also serviced to just over 500 customers and Osage County Rural Water District Number 5. State Senator Bill Coleman and State Representative Judd Strom played a major role in getting this funding and Water Resource Board Executive Director Julie Cunningham had this to say on the aid:
