GAME 2’s: Jacksboro baseball, Iowa Park softball seasons continue; end of the line for others – May 18, 2024

Class 3A baseball | Iowa Park vs Jacksboro

Iowa Park battled Jacksboro in game two of the regional quarterfinal round high school baseball playoff series.

The Tigers struck first in the game, when Lando Belcher found the left center field gap to drive in Braydon Rockey in the 3rd inning. Iowa Park evened the score in the top of the fourth when Kane Decker hit a sacrifice fly. Jacksboro scored again in the home half of the fourth inning with Tyler Mitchell delivering an RBI double to drive in Casey Ray Swan and give the Tigers a 2-1 lead.

Jackson McComis did the pitching for Jacksboro, throwing all seven innings allowing one hit and striking out four.

The Tigers won 2-1.

Class 3A softball | Iowa Park vs River Road

Iowa Park battled Amarillo River Road in game two of the regional semifinal round high school softball playoff series.

The Lady Hawks won 10-4.

Class 2A softball | Riesel vs Archer City

Archer City battled Riesel in game two of the regional semifinal round high school softball playoff series.

The Lady Indians won 10-0.
