    One killed in downtown Wichita Falls train incident

    WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — Officials have confirmed that one is dead following a fatal train incident in downtown Wichita Falls on Thursday night, September 5.

    WFFD determines cause of explosion at Arbor Creek Apartments

    According to a sergeant on the scene, an individual was killed following the train crash that happened at the railroad tracks on Seventh Street and Ohio Ave around 10:20 p.m.

    The sergeant said the crash caused road closures on Seventh Street. BNSF Railway reported no injuries to the train’s crew and stated that the crossing there has lights, gates, and bells.

    This is the only information at this time. BNSF Railway is conducting an investigation into the incident.
