WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — Five Wichita Falls residents are in custody after police said they found fentanyl pills in the car they were in and all five denied ownership.

One of the suspects was arrested just three months ago for allegedly transporting thousands of Fentanyl pills to Wichita Falls from the Metroplex.

Police were alerted to suspicious activity in a parking lot by Fillmore and Seymour Highway about 4:45 p.m. Thursday, Sep. 5.

As police units converged, officers said a silver BMW with several occupants began leaving and it was stopped.

Officers said the occupants began to get out and they saw a vape pen fall from one suspect’s lap.

A search was made and about a dozen blue pills were found wrapped in paper between the driver’s seat and center console. Several pieces of burned aluminum foil were also found.

They said nine more pills were found in one suspect’s right sock. All tested positive for fentanyl.

The driver, David Everett, was also the alleged driver and organizer of a previous Fentanyl delivery operation from the Metroplex to Wichita Falls.

He and three others were arrested on June 5 when the District Attorney’s Drug Enforcement Division had them under surveillance and stopped them when they came back into the city, with more than 3,000 fentanyl pills seized.

Everett posted his $100,000 bond the same day he was booked.

why don't they set their bonds so high that they aren't able to get out or no bond set at all, but yet for some reason they have a bond set for them to get out and putting the crap back out on the streets. it takes some one to die from the crap in order for some thing to really. serve the charge of murder for them to be locked up for murder. smh it's sad
