JACK COUNTY ( KFDX/KJTL ) — A collision between a motorcycle and an SUV has resulted in the death of an Altus man.

According to DPS Sergeant Juan Gutierrez, the driver of a 2023 Ford Explorer reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign while traveling north on FM 2210 around 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7. The Explorer was carrying two child passengers in addition to the driver.

The Explorer’s driver entered SH 199 just before the motorcyclist traveling northwest, causing him to hit the rear passenger side of the SUV.

Bradford Glenthorne Cosway, 66, was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, where he was pronounced deceased.

The Explorer’s passengers and driver were treated at the scene and not transported for medical care.

Texas DPS reports the collision is still under investigation.
