WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — A Wichita Falls woman had an uninvited guest enter her home while she was taking a shower. After she got him out of her house, police say he went down the block and tried to get into another woman’s house.

Police responded to the first house in the 600 block of Sunset Drive at 11:50 a.m. on Monday, September 9.

The suspect, Anthony Toliver, 30, was arrested at the second house and charged with burglary and resisting arrest.

The 53-year-old resident of the first house told police she was taking a shower when she heard her dogs barking and growling outside. When she went to check, she saw an unknown black male in her living room, where her elderly father was sitting.

Her father said the intruder had kicked in the door, and when her father yelled at him to leave, the intruder took the elderly man’s ball cap off his head and hit him in the face with it.

The woman said she ran at the intruder, hoping he would run out, but he didn’t. She then tried to open the door, but he kept slapping her hand away and shutting the door. She then slapped him in the face and told him to leave. He went outside, and she locked the door. She said he then left her property, leaving his shoes in the yard.

Police said they also found a black t-shirt in the street.

While questioning the victims, police got a call from another resident in the same block that a black male with no shirt was trying to get inside her house.

Police said that when they arrived, Toliver was on the porch. When they tried to detain him, he resisted and said he was not going to get in the patrol car. They said he put his legs against the door and frame, but they eventually got him into the car.

Toliver has numerous arrests and convictions for drug possession and also a conviction for burglary.
