BURKBURNETT ( KFDX/KJTL ) — To honor the 23rd Anniversary of 9/11, the Burkburnett Police Department is hosting its 4th annual memorial Stair Climb.

Happening on Wednesday, September 11, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., the Stair Climb is a symbolic and intense physical event that helps us remember the sacrifices of firefighters, police officers, and paramedics who died at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

This event is not a race or a fundraiser but a way to honor the fallen first responders who sacrificed their lives to help and serve others.

The Stair Climb will take place at Burkburnett High School. Participation is completely free, but t-shirts will be available for sale.
