On the Border temporarily closes after fire

WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — The On the Border restaurant in Sikes Senter Mall is temporarily closed, apparently from a minor fire reported early Wednesday afternoon.

The restaurant was evacuated and several Wichita Falls Fire Department units responded, including an aerial ladder for access to the roof.

No smoke or flames were observed when units arrived. It is unknown what damage was done but an employee said the restaurant should reopen tomorrow.

Sikes Senter Mall posted that the restaurant is closed temporarily, and they will post when it reopens.
