Montague County crash claims the life of one

MONTAGUE CO. ( KFDX/KJTL ) — A one-vehicle crash claimed the life of one just after 8 p.m. on Saturday, September 21.

A little more than three miles southeast of Bowie, Aaliyah Brown, 25, from Forest Hill, TX, was traveling southeast on US 81 when, according to preliminary investigation, she failed to drive in a single lane, veered off the right side of the road, and struck an overpass concrete pillar.

Brown was transported to Faith Community Health Systems, where she was later pronounced deceased.

The crash remains under investigation.
