WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — After police arrested a Wichita Falls woman for possession of about 1,200 fentanyl pills in August that she admitted she was selling, she was taken into custody again on Wednesday for possession of Xanax and an unlawful .45 caliber handgun.

Esmerelda Gonzales was arrested Wednesday, Sept. 24, and is now free on bond.

Officers said she consented to a search of her black Chevy Malibu in the 1600 block of Wilson Avenue, where they found a Xanax pill in the driver’s side door compartment for which she had no prescription. They said they also found the gun on the floorboard behind the driver’s seat.

Gonzales was out on a $100,000 bond from an Aug. 12 arrest for the manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone after a search warrant in the 1700 block of Beverly Drive.

Officers said a search of her Chevy Malibu and residence uncovered around 1,200 blue pills that tested positive for fentanyl. Many of the pills in the house were in a white shipping bag addressed to Gonzales.

The location was within 1,000 feet of Crockett Elementary School. Officers said Gonzales admitted selling Fentanyl to multiple people.
