WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — A Wichita Falls man who had a gallon-size bag of meth in his house when police searched it was sentenced to prison for that charge and also a weapons charge.

Kevin Vinson, 50, was sentenced to 10 years prison for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance and 5 years for possession of a firearm by a felon.

The sentences were ordered to be served concurrently.

WFPD Special Operations officers served a search warrant at a residence in the 2700 block of Ridgeway in October 2023 and arrested Vinson as he was leaving.

A search of Vinson’s house found a gallon-size bag containing meth, weighing more than a pound.

They also found two ounces of cocaine, a digital scale, baggies and a 12-gauge shotgun.

Vinson has 24 arrests since 1993 and several prior drug convictions. He completed his last prison sentence in February, 2023.
