WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — Typical of summer; though, it’s fall, a ridge of high pressure builds into the Southern Plains. Here in Texoma, high temperatures for the end of the weekend and through the coming workweek will remain in the low to mid-90s, with overnight/morning lows near 60 degrees.

Wichita Falls’ overnight low on Saturday will be 61 degrees, and the high on Sunday will be 90 degrees. Lawton, Okla., will have an overnight low of 62 degrees and a high on Sunday of 91 degrees.

Post-tropical storm Helene continues its downpour of rain over the Tennessee Valley even though it has been considerably downgraded to a large area of low pressure. It is slowly moving to the east and will slowly but surely move to the east/northeast. High-level clouds result from the low for Texoma as it remains so far away from the Southern Plains.

Temperatures will remain consistent until the following week, even though a couple of frontal boundaries are expected to move close to the area.
