    Oktoberfest festivities bring German culture to Muenster

    MUENSTER ( KFDX/KJTL ) — This weekend, Muenster will host a three-day celebration of German tradition.

    Oktoberfest is an old tradition in Germany that originated from a royal wedding and is now celebrated worldwide.

    Lakeside City VFD adding new twists to annual Fall Fest

    Muenster will be celebrating Oktoberfest this weekend, starting Friday, Oct. 4, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., then resuming festivities on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

    This event will have something for the entire family to do. There will be arts and crafts for the kids, train rides, axe throwing, lots of German food, beer and so much more.

    The parking fee is $5, the entry fee is $5, and children 12 and under get in for free. If you wear traditional German Lederhosen or Dirndl, your entry fee is waived!
