Team of the Week: Wichita Christian Stars

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — The Wichita Christian Stars have been on a tear since last season.

They won 12 of their 14 games dating back to last year.

Wichita Christian wants to prove to others they are a team ready for a deep postseason run.

“It means a lot for us that we are able to play against a good team at UIL,” senior running back Sam Delizio said. “That means we can play good teams at TAPPS. If we continue doing what we are doing, then we have a good chance to go deep into the playoffs this year.”

The Star’s offense is fueled by Delizio and senior spreadback Isaac Willden.

“Isaac and Sam’s leadership is the biggest thing,” head coach Seth Nolan said. “Both of those guys can play every position, and when we give the ball to them, good things will happen.”

Wichita Christian’s journey to improve upon last season’s foundation continues.
