WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — For more than 25 years, the New Jerusalem Baptist Church has hosted its Community Outreach Picnic, and this year is no different.

On Saturday, October 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the community is invited to come out for a day of fun and fellowship with New Jerusalem, located at 1420 Borton Lane .

Assistant Pastor Anthony Phillips said the event is all about the community.

“A lot of people won’t enter our church doors, but they will come to a picnic. So we will have food, a shoe drive for the kids,” Phillips said. “So we provide shoes for the kids that come just to help out. So it’s a good time just to have food, fellowship, and fun.”

This event will have games, bounce houses, face painting, and more chances for fellowship.

“It’s an opportunity for us to introduce ourselves to the community,” Phillips said.
