WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — A few morning showers will continue to break up throughout the morning as temperatures heat back up into the mid-90s this afternoon.

Winds will be a bit breezy, with wind speeds of 10-15 MPH out of the south.

Overnight lows will fall back into the mid-60s, with some cloud coverage returning during the evening and early morning hours on Friday.

On Friday, another round of very isolated showers and storms will be possible. Rain chances will stay slim during the morning and dissipate during the late morning and afternoon. Winds will stay breezy out of the south.

It’s hot for the weekend, but late Sunday and into the early morning hours on Monday, a cold front is expected to move into the region. This front will send temperatures into a freefall as afternoon highs plummet from the mid-90s down to the upper 70s and lower 80s.

That will return temperatures back to normal or near normal roles.
