WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — A Midwestern State University student is behind bars after a fellow student accuses him of burglary.

Around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, Midwestern State University was responded to the scene of a burglary in a campus dorm.

The MSU police contacted the Wichita Falls Police Department for assistance in the investigation.

Alleged fentanyl transporter back in jail

A female victim reported she was in her dorm when an unknown male subject entered her space and was startled by the suspect. Police said the victim was able to exit the room while still gathering a description of the male subject.

Surveillance video confirmed the description of the suspect given by the victim. Police later identified the suspect as 19-year-old Haeven Watson from San Antonio. Police said he is also an MSU student.

Officers of the WFPD Special Operations Unit were able to arrest the suspect later in the day. The suspect was then transported to the police station for questioning.

Police said a search warrant was executed at the suspect’s dorm, which was also on the MSU campus, and a firearm was found in the apartment. The firearm was reportedly stolen in San Antonio.

The suspect was then transported to the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office, where he was charged with burglary of a habitation and theft of a firearm.

Watson’s bonds total $260,000 according to jail records.

WFPD assures the citizens and students of MSU that they are safe.

Hopefully he broke the MSU Code of Conduct, expelled, never allowed to set foot on the property, and headed to jail or back San Antonio way.
