    Police release victim’s name from I-44 fatal

    BURKBURNETT ( KFDX/KJTL ) — Police have released the name of the victim from Sunday night’s fatal accident on I-44.

    Police said 21-year-old Noah Burris from Burkburnett was killed by a passing vehicle after exiting a vehicle parked partially in the roadway on the Missile Road exit ramp off I-44 just before 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 13.

    The driver of the passing vehicle was the sole occupant and was not injured. No charges are expected for them.

    Another male, 31, was also struck after entering the roadway to rescue Burris and was transported to United Regional with non-life-threatening injuries.

    The investigation is still ongoing.
