FIRE BURNS 70 ACRES IN CONCORD! On 9-11-2024 at approximately 1:11 pm numerous calls came in for a vegetation fire in the hills off Avila Road located in Concord Ca. Upon arrival of emergency crews fire was upgraded to a 2nd alarm due to the wind spreading the fire very rapidly. Structure protection was ordered but was cancelled. Calfire was called in for Ariel drops to help contain the fire. Forward progress was stopped at 70 Acres and 30% contained.
