Playoff recap: Abilene High tops Wylie in softball and now meet up in baseball

The high school baseball and softball playoffs continued this past week as inter-city rivals Wylie and Abilene High faced off in softball, and now this coming week the two schools will face off in high school baseball.

Meanwhile, a number of area squads also continued their quest for state tournament glory.

Here is a recap and roundup of last week's playoffs plus a look ahead to this week's games.

Of note: The Bulldogs looked solid in a series sweep of Canutillo and get ready for district rival Abilene High.
