    Fifth graders take the fast track during AISD district-wide meet

    Abilene ISD fifth graders held their annual Fifth Grade Track Meet last week at Shotwell Annex.

    Each year, fifth grade students finish their final year of elementary school with a district-wide track meet.

    Boys and girls compete in separate foot race divisions: 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash and the 4x100 sprint relay.

    This year on May 7, Bonham Elementary School won the trophy for Best Overall Performance.
