Athens man pleas down from attempted murder charge
An Athens man was charged with attempted murder after he shot a man in March of 2022, but he pleaded down to aggravated assault in Monroe County Criminal Court. Devante Xavier Oneil Moore, 27, had been facing the attempted murder charge and several others for two years before he handed in his plea April 21. NASHVILLE — Tennessee’s statewide unemployment rate dropped for the second consecutive month in March, according to new data from the Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
